There are thousands of different kinds of motorcycles in the world. Like cars, each has a different feel and look. If you’re like me, they all look and sound the same. But a real motorcycle fanatic will know that bikes have very intentional features. Harley Davidson and Ducatti have been at the top of the motorcycle game for years and they produce bikes of different style, speed, and price. Some bikes are more common than others but some bikes are incredibly rare and hard to get our hands on. Motorcycles are fascinating vehicles and it is interesting to see how the manufacturing of these rides have changed and developed overtime. Check out some of the rarest motorcycles in the world.
1919 Traub
The 1919 Traub is widely regarded as one of the most unique bikes ever crafted. It is over a hundred years old and most information about the bike remains a secret. Only one Traub even exists today and it sits in a motorcycle museum. Bike enthusiasts have tried to nail down the source of the bike by studying its parts, but no one seems to be able to figure it out! All we really know is the name and year it was made. We don’t even know who made the masterpiece!
Honda CX500 Turbo
Honda is known for the wide array of great cars but they also produce many motorcycles as well. The Honda CX500 is a rare exception to the popularity of most Honda vehicles. Less than 50 of this kind of bike are licensed and driven across the U.K. and U.S. Most likely, there are less than 100 units of this bike that even exist today. Unlike some other bikes that just did not stand the test of time, this one just never really had its time to shine.
1931 Coventry Eagle
In its day, the 1931 Coventry Eagle was an excellent racing motorcycle. But, the company that made this impressive bike ended up failing which brought down the Eagle with it. Many of the units that were made before are barely functional today because they were extremely poorly maintained. However, there are a few units that have been properly preserved that are very impressive vehicles and are showcased still to this day. When cared for, the performance of this bike is incredibly impressive.
1938 Crocker
The 1938 Crocker is one of 100 motorcycles designed by Al Crocker in the 90s. He was a talented engine designer which translated into many impressive bikes. The 1938 Crocker is a perfect example of an impressive bike made by an impressive man. With only about 100 units created, it is now one of the rarer motorcycles out there. While his creations were incredibly impressive and far beyond his time, he was only able to make a few units because he didn’t have the support from a major company.
