You would think criminals would have tons of expensive homes and cars that they are proud to show off. However, some criminals are smart and stay under the radar with their money. But when these criminals’ homes were raided, they discovered these flashy vehicles. It was all fun and games until these crime lords were arrested.
El Chapo’s Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren
El Chapo was a famous Mexican drug lord who had an entire fleet of fancy cars and motorcycles. Most of which was used to smuggle drugs. His collection even included a Dodge Charger, which was a replica of a police car. We think his most interesting vehicle; however, is the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. This stunning sports car costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and can even speak! What can we say? Crime pays.
Sandeep Singh Dosanjh’s Rolls Royce Phantom
Sandeep is known for his financial crimes in the U.K. He frauded taxpayers out of millions of dollars and we can see how he spent it. The Rolls Royce Phantom is a beautiful car but Sandeep didn’t get the chance to spend all that much time with it. Shortly after he purchased the vehicle in 2012, he was arrested and sentenced to 15 years. Sorry Sandeep, but these wheels will not be waiting for you on the outside.
Richard Carter’s Silver Mercedes Benz
Richard Carter, also commonly referred to as “Maserati Rick” was a prolific drug lord in Detroit. His nickname was given to him when he showed up to a club in a Maserati Convertible, but he actually had a deep love of Mercedes Benz. He loved Mercedez so much, in fact, that he wanted to die in one. When he died at age 29, he requested a custom-made casket that looks like a silver Mercedes Benz. The thing cost a whopping $16,000!
Pablo Escobar’s 1964 Porsche 356
If we’re talking about drug lords who liked the lavish lifestyle, we have to mention Pablo Escobar. The “Kind of Cocaine” is one of the most prolific drug lords of all time. He owned tons of expensive homes and cars, but the 1964 Porsche 356 really catches our attention. This cherry red sports car is the perfect example of the billions (yes, billions) of dollars he accumulated through his business.
Al Capone’s 1928 Cadillac Town Sedan
Al Capone had concerns outside of lavish cars. He made a lot of enemies in his time as a drug dealer and needed to protect himself in case some of these men wanted to take revenge against him. His 1928 Cadillac was completely armored to provide protection when he was out and about. The windshield and windows were made of bulletproof glass that was an inch thick. What he really should have been worried about was being busted by the cops, as he was arrested for possession of deadly weapons in 1929.
